How are employees supported through their leave with Cocoon?

Cocoon's software-based approach means employees can access leave planning, claims details, and pay information any time, from anywhere. When employees do need extra support, our CLMS-certified Support team is a click away. With traditional leave management, employees have to track down call center reps on the phone for status updates or questions about their leave.

How do employees access Cocoon?

When you buy Cocoon, all employees have access to our leave planning tools via their work email address. Employees log in through a portal specific to your company. Any employee can sign up, explore their leave options, and plan in private without needing to divulge personal information to their HR team or manager. Then, employees can share their leave plan when they're ready.

How do employees file claims with Cocoon?

Cocoon's algorithm determines any state or insurance benefits owed to an employee, and our Claims Dashboard and Copilot tools provide step-by-step guidance for filing each claim.

What HRIS integrations does Cocoon offer?

Cocoon has integrations live with Workday, ADP (Workforce Now and TotalSource), Gusto, BambooHR, Zenefits, Dayforce, Namely, UKG, HiBob, Paylocity, and Justworks to automatically pull census information into Cocoon. We are actively working on launching several more in the coming months.

What geographies does Cocoon support?

Cocoon currently supports US leaves in all 50 states and Washington D.C. Cocoon has preferred partnerships with Canadian leave providers for employees in Canada, but does not support leaves outside the US at this time.

What leave types does Cocoon support?

Cocoon currently supports all FMLA-covered leave types: parental, medical, caregiver, and military family leaves, as well as ADA accommodation leaves and personal leaves. Cocoon is currently working to support partial-day intermittent leaves by the end of the year.
